Dear Gregor,
Very nice to see your dynamic photo on the web. Will you be publishing your notes on Sauternes soon? I saw your score for Pichon, and I am glad you liked it, but do you publish tasting notes as well? I would be interested. Best wishes,

Christian Seely (AXA Millésimes, Pichon-Longueville Baron)

Dear Ms Hensel,
Serena (who is just dashing off to Hong Kong) has asked me to write to you to thank you for the magazine we have received and to congratulate you and your team on all your hard work. With best wishes,

Esther Miller, PA to Serena Sutcliffe, MW, Sotheby´s Wine Department

Dear Andrea,
A short note to acknowledge with thanks receipt of the October/November issue of UNFILTERED. I am enormously impressed by the wide range of ratings for the wines of South Africa and Australia which I shall certainly keep on file. All best wishes and thanks again. Yours sincerely

Michael Broadbent

Dear Madam,
... Moreover we would be very interested in subscribing to your publication UNFILTERED by VinVinoLife …

Jean-Philippe Delmas, Château Haut-Brion

Hi Guys…
A really super magazine you published on South Africa! Do you distribute UNFILTERED in Switzerland as well? I really have to get in contact with you… your ratings on South Africa convinced me even if I have to tell you - unfiltered - that the Meerlust-ratings were quite surprising to me… to say the least.
We were at ProWein in Düsseldorf as well with our Cape Wine Connection-/Havana Hills-stand. Unfortunately we couldn't meet you there… but Ill contact you by phone soon.
Regarding our company: just check www.kapweine.ch, our distributing company in Switzerland (South African wines only), Cape Wine Connection, our distribution company for Havana Hills Wines and www.suedafrikamesse.ch, a fair about South Africa that takes place in Zurich for the second time.

Greetings from Cape Town, Andy

Dear Mrs Hensel,
… Our conversation made me absolutely curious about your magazine and I would like to get an annual subscription of UNFILTERED. I am waiting for your instructions to subscribe and look forward reading the new issue.

Karine Grey, Export Manager M. Chapoutier

Dear Ms Hensel,
Our sincere congratulations on your really inspired second issue of UNFILTERED which we´d very much like to subscribe in 2002 … Kindest regards,

Weinland Ariane Abayan GmbH & Co. KG

Dear Ladies, Dear Sirs,
Your interesting magazine UNFILTERED gave us great pleasure and we´d like to ask if we might receive a free subscription in exchange for our magazine which we´d appreciate very much … Kindest regards,

Editorial Department BMW-Magazine

Dear Ladies, Dear Sirs,
I've just received an issue of your magazine for the first time - the October/November 2001 issue including the feature on South Africa … I can fully agree with your author regarding a lot of critical comments. Just one constructive notice: I really appreciate your decision to publish the texts in English as well. Nevertheless as an English-speaking wine expert and translator I have to tell you that I didn't like your English translations very much … they´re not totally wrong but English-speaking readers might indeed be puzzled by some expressions … Best wishes,

Peter Gebler, Weine der Neuen Welt, Cape Wine Master and Translator

Comment: You're definitely right, Mr Gebler - we´re not content as well. If we´d accept advertisements from the wine industry we'd for sure have a small sum saved up to employ professional translators for all our texts. Nevertheless we try hard to improve! Thanks for the "not totally wrong" and the constructive comment which is fully appropriate!

... And last but not least one particularly passionate email that obviously lost its way - even if we enjoyed it very much:

My love,
"Drink to me only with thine eyes, and I will pledge with mine; Or leave a kiss but in the cup and I´ll not look for wine.". Ben Johnston c. 1573-1637, The Forest (1616). I love you!
